Frequency Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 8, 2026
Who we are: Frequency is made by [Company name] ("we", "us").
Contact: [support email]
Frequency is a meditation and personal-growth app. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the app, and the choices you have. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
1. What we collect
Your account
- When you sign in with Apple, we receive an account identifier and the email Apple shares with us (this can be a private relay address if you choose "Hide My Email"), and your name if you share it.
- Before you sign in (during setup), the app creates a temporary anonymous account so your answers can be saved. It's replaced when you sign in.
What you tell us
- Your first name, and whether you're female or male (used to write sessions and visions about you, e.g. "she" or "he"). Optionally, what you do and your city.
- What you want to create ("your reality"), who you're becoming, how it feels, what you've let go of, and what's in that life.
- Notes you write: what's going on before a meditation, anything else you share after a check-in, your context, weekly review answers (wins, challenges), and evidence you log.
- Your check-in answers (Frequency Pulse-Check and Weekly Realignment), including which answer you chose and how long each question took, and the scores calculated from them.
- Your practice: sessions completed, streak, electricity, unlocks, reminders and preferences.
Photos (optional)
- If you add photos of yourself under "Your likeness", they're stored on your phone. They're sent to our image provider only when a vision scene is being made for you, so the scene can include your likeness. The images made from them are stored in our storage (see section 4).
Your voice (optional)
- If you use "Record your voice", the recording is sent to our voice provider to create a voice in your likeness that can narrate your sessions.
Purchases
- Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We receive a signed confirmation of your subscription from Apple (including Apple's transaction identifier) to check that it's active. We never see your payment details.
Our website
- If you join the early-access list on our website, we keep your email address only to tell you when Frequency launches. Email us any time to be removed.
What we don't collect
- No advertising identifiers, no location, no contacts, and no third-party analytics. App usage counts stay on your phone.
2. How we use it
- To run the app: save your progress, sync it to your account, and restore it on a new phone.
- To personalize it: write your vision and sessions with your name and words, recommend meditations and action steps, and narrate them.
- To improve the Frequency check-in: we store check-in answers and scores (never the notes you write) so we can study and improve how the score is calculated.
- To check your subscription and keep fair-use limits on AI features.
- To keep the service safe, and to meet legal obligations.
3. Who helps us run Frequency
We share only what each service needs to do its job:
| Provider | What it does | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Hosting, database, sign-in, file storage | Your account and saved app data |
| ElevenLabs | Text-to-speech narration; voice creation | The text to be read (which can include your name and your vision); your voice recording if you use "Record your voice" |
| OpenAI | Making vision images with your likeness | The scene description and your photos, when you request vision images |
| Cloudflare | AI writing and image generation | The text needed to write or illustrate your vision or step (e.g. your reality, identity, notes) |
| Anthropic | AI writing (when enabled) | The same text as above |
| Apple | Sign in with Apple, payments, notifications | As described in Apple's own terms |
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies.
4. Where it's stored and for how long
- Your saved app data is stored with Supabase in the United States for as long as you have an account.
- Vision images made for you are stored in our storage at unlisted links, filed under your account.
- Photos you add stay on your phone. Narration audio may be cached on your phone and on our servers so lines don't need to be generated again.
5. Deleting your data
- Delete account (Settings → Delete account) permanently removes your account, your saved app data, your check-in records, the vision images made for you, and any voice created from your recording. It also clears the app on your phone.
- Signing out uploads your latest progress, then clears it from the phone.
- You can also email us at [support email] to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data.
6. Your choices
- Photos, voice recording, notes and reminders are all optional.
- You can turn off notifications in iOS Settings at any time.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to use them.
7. Not medical care
Frequency is a wellness and self-development app. The Frequency score is a self-reported reflection, not a medical or psychological measurement or diagnosis. If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 in the US, or your local emergency number.
8. Children
Frequency isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app.
